Yesterday we celebrated my babygirl's 6th birthday. Man, these years have just flown by! We let her pick the place to go have dinner-and surprise, surprise....Applebees was the winner. But ah-ha! Mommy had a plan! Tell her how cool the Japanese steakhouse (Kani House) would be! Tell her about the fire and the egg trick and the fish (that you can eat). How cool, right?!.....
Nope....
That is until we get about 10 minutes out from our destination and she says "Mommy, I changed my mind. Can we still go to the "steakhouse of Japan"??" lol So, off we went.
It was so much fun. The kids were entertained the entire time. M was in his element. The chef had so much fun with him. Flipping his cooking tools at him, making fire whenever he could so M's face would light up. They both had a great time. At the end, the waiter asked if we were celebrating anything. I told him it was Z's birthday. So they brought out a little {{free}} desert for her and sang to her.
After dinner we did some errands and then let the kids pick out their birthday gifts. Both kids made out well this year. Z racked up a whopping $140 and M got $120. {Who wants to come to my birthday party??? ;) } We had told Z that if she got enough, she could buy her DS that she has been wanting. We decided that we would give her the extra $30 and buy her a game as our gift to her. She was over the moon! M decided he wanted a dinosaur that walked and shot little arrows off of it. That is all he wanted. So he has some spending money left over :)
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated their birthday last weekend! The kids had so much fun! I will blog about the party soon! :)
